The team at Blue Buzzard approached me to assist with the design of a new landing page template that would act as a sell sheet for future clients. This needed to be customizable to include a variety of vendor logos, photo slideshows and content as needed. I happily delivered a one-page landing page with cross-browser compatible HTML and CSS that is both easy to navigate and attractive.

Shriners Hospitals Intranet

I had the privilege of working with the Shriners team to develop an intranet site that could meet a variety of needs, including multiple administrators with different access levels, fully editable pages & news/announcement sections and a clean design for easy navigation.

St. Joseph County Kroc Center

The marketing team at the Salvation Army in St. Joseph County approached me about assisting them with creating a website for their soon-to-open multi-million dollar community and arts center. I was also tasked with creating a way for them to add content and make changes in the future. The result was an elegant, customized WordPress installation that allows for a sliding feature, news ticker, archived news releases and clear design – among many other features.

Another fun project to work on, this website is based in WordPress and features custom post sorting, enhanced ad management, automatic events sorting and posting, and much more. The front page features a rotating feature box that is updated solely through pulling data from blog posts. I was able to hand this off to the client with all aspects of the content completely customizable on their end.

Upcoming Events Poster

This poster was envisioned as a throwback to the striking, bold designs of yesteryear. Created to be an 11×17 print for display in community centers and on bedroom walls, the design needed to be striking as well as clearly understood, while attracting the eye of the target audience – teenagers and young adults. The poster helps to promote upcoming events for this Chicago-based Salvation Army youth ministry, while retaining the key elements of their current theme – “heart, soul, mind, strength.”

This was framed with a 1/4 white border around the image and printed 4/0 on 11×17.

Scamdicappers

This website and logo was created for Scamdicappers, a sports score tracking website, currently finishing development. I was approached to create an easy to navigate design that showcased the main tables that held pre-existing PHP coding to generate the scores and statistics.

This was a great project, as the end product resulted in a very clean, simple website design that has an attractive color scheme and eye-catching logo.

The Barefoot Doula

This is a website for a Chicago-area Professional Birth Doula, that also happens to be my wife!

This was a fun site to work on, as it utilized the WordPress content management system for easy updates, but also included some features like flash text replacement (Sifr), jQuery sliders for displaying the books & movies on the resource page, a custom textured background and more.
